gearing up + knuckling down.

skulls + bows!

recycled bike tire inner tube cuff bracelets with spikes!

lee has taken up cycling and with it came a whole slew of accoutrement (i.e. different kinds of tires, multiple helmets, lights, clothing, etc). well, he tends to go overboard with everything he does, which means he rides about 25 miles a night and pops tires on a regular basis. so the old inner tubes become property of katinka and are thusly turned into some good, old fashioned punk rock regalia. i found a company that produces the spikes here in the US (most spikes + studs are manufactured overseas, BOO)...though i'm still working on finding snaps made in the US, as well. you'd think they wouldn't be that hard to find, but, well...they are. at any rate, the cuffs turned out better than i imagined and i'm trying to sell them at a pretty fair price to, you know, keep it real for my crusty, young, and poor brethren. hey, they're vegan, too!

hoodie weather is upon us and i'm really trying to knuckle down and prep for all the holiday shows. i never can seem to get on top of things though, but it's all going to come together. it always does. still waiting to hear from wheatsville to see if i was accepted to the art fest....last year was so cold but such a good show. i'm really hoping i make it in again...i've got some great new things in the works.

come see me this thursday at Concerts in The Park at San Marcos Plaza Park, 6-10pm and this saturday at the SM Farmer's Market...it's not too early to start holiday gifty shopping!
