jeez, i was gone awhile, huh. well, everything turned out smashingly.

renegade was awesome-tastic.

like, way more awesome than i had imagined....and a bazillion thanks to noelle + co. for all the help. alot of people suggested i apply for the SF and chicago RCF and so i've been weighing my options for becoming a traveling saleslady. SF is looking likely as it would be about 2 weeks after wheatsville art festival and obviously it's one of my favoritestestest cities in the world. the world! i'm feeling more nomadic than ever....which is frustrating because i'm pretty much tied down to my life here in texas. but i'm thinking of ways to swing this SF thing. i figure if i get a roof rack for my tiny car i can transport everything i need for about $250 roundtrip (gas money). tack on another $50 for food + the $325 for the RCF booth and i figure i can still earn a hefty profit. lodging shouldn't be too bad since i've discovered
AirBnB, basically a craigslist type website for locals offering up a room or a whole apartment for night to night rentals on the cheap. the advantage of this over craigslist is that there are reviews from past renters so it definitely takes the creep-factor down a few notches.
i figure i'd make the drive in 2 days, stopping overnight in phoenix....i think two of my cousins live out there and surely it wouldn't be too much of an imposition for me to sleep on their couch for a few hours. i used to be so afraid of staying with people. something's changed in the last few years...maybe due to being medicated, but i no longer fear couch-surfing. if it weren't for my husband and pets i'd probably be homeless by choice. that's weird, i know. but comforting to my restless brain in a strange way.
anyway, speaking of traveling salesladies, i'm takin' my show to the streets....south congress to be precise. i'll be set up almost every saturday at the
78704 Artisan Market in Austin from noon 'til dusk so you can shop to your heart's content!
p.s. i promise i'm going to make a better effort to keep shit updated here on the blah-og from now on. xoxoxo

Did anyone comment on the Chicago Christmas show? I am a maker in Canada and I just wanted some inside scoop to know if it's a good show.
Your booth is lovely. My mother has the same rickety ladder at her house and still uses it-yikes!
