eeyore's.

jj attended his first eeyore's birthday this year. but first, photographic evidence of his apparent love for other people's shoes:

that's right, those are my grubby chucks. he also enjoys shuffling around in my flip flops, too.

anyway, here's the eeyore's pictures....proof that fun was had by all, i think.

we opted for a 100 year old edwardian mourning parasol in place of excess sunscreen:

this picture's hilarious to me because, although jj was yawning, it looks more like he was shocked and appalled by something he saw:

in anticipation of eeyore's, and also junking jaunts with the J in tow, i purchased a lavender linen ring sling to carry him in. he was surprisingly okay with it, in fact, i think he liked it more than just merely being carried, so i suppose it was worth the money. now my arm doesn't feel like it might break when i hold him for more than 3 minutes. if you're interested, the sling came from lil peeper keepers on etsy. i paid for upgraded/expedited shipping and to my amazement the package arrived within 2 days of placing my order. awesome!

also, jj was way more tolerant of the drum circle than i expected. he hasn't proven to be comfortable with loud noises in previous experiences, but he didn't cry once and even started to pat his chest to the beat at one point. we brought a toy tambourine for him but he wasn't keen on jingling it until after we left the drum circle. of course.
all in all, it was a lovely and perfect day for eeyore's and i'm glad we've started on a fun fambly tradition.

You all look Beee-autiful!~! Glad to hear it was a fun day. You never know what a little one will like or not. My girl would wake from a dead sleep if anyone ever attempted to use the ice machine. However, when she was tres tiny, I took her with me in a sling like that to cover a news story where a helicopter landed mere yards from where we were (I was a small town news girl, hehe) and she slept through the WHOLE thing!

Hope you're enjoying mommyhood :)
